A week after finishing this book & I'm still not sure how I feel much as I liked it, I'm frustrated that some bits are still niggling at me!

The plot, without giving anything away, is that everyday Aiden wakes up in a different body trying to crack the murder of Evelyn Hardcastle as solving this will allow him to escape this cycle where everyday repeats itself. Of course it's not that simple & needless to say the story is quite complex. I found it muddling at first but on reflection that's probably a point in it's favour as it fits the characters situation at that particular time.

I was able to read it in three or four sessions & to be honest if I'd've put it down & picked it up a few days later I think I would've struggled to keep track of what was going on. I'd just think I'd got a handle on things when a huge clunky spanner would be thrown into the works & I found myself flicking back on a number of occasions to check things that seemed contradictory, though generally these worked themselves out as the story progressed. Guess thats what happens when a day repeats itself...

While there's no denying it's a fascinating read & quite an accomplishment, I'm left with too many unanswered questions to feel satisfied with the ending.
That said whatever genre you normally read I'd say give this a go. You might love it, you might hate it, you might not understand it! but I doubt very much you'll forget it.

A strange book this and very clever. It's like Groundhog Day meets an old-fashioned Agatha Christie style mystery and I found it hard going at first whilst I got my head round who was who but then I really got into it but had to concentrate. Not something I could leave for long and go back to because the body swapping meant there were lots of twists and turns. Now I'm verging on ancient crone status I sometimes have to flick back a few pages to remind myself what was happening. This book was a good work out for my brain so I think my next book will be an undemanding cosy mystery just to give it a rest :-)
