Like many bookcrossers, I can't resist a second hand-book stall so I still seem to buy more than I read-especially as I get so many good recommendations now that I am a bookcrosser. Still it's good fun and I really enjoy the company on here.
I have recently started going to monthly b/c meetings and am pleased to have at last met some other bookcrossers and be able to swap books and chat with them.
UPDATE March 2013:- The meetings referred to above now consist of only two members, including me, but we still enjoy them! A few of my friends also enjoy swapping books and have joined bookcrossing.
I have started a wishlist which is really for my own information as to books I want to look out for but have gratefully received and traded a few books after other members have noticed books on there and offered them to me. I have also taken part in a few bookrays.
I also like the UK wish list tag game.
December 2015:- Hosting BookRay -A Stolen Life by Jaycee Lee Dugard. Completed and book released by last participant.
February 2016:- I currently have books travelling in:-
Australia. Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, the Canary Islands, the Cayman Islands, the Channel Islands, China, Crete, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, the Falkland Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Madeira, the Maldives, Mauritius, Montenegro, Nepal, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, the Seychelles, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tahiti, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United States of America, Wales and all over England. That's just the ones I know about so there are probably a few travelling elsewhere that I've yet to hear from!
August 2016- I have recently started a bookshelf/lending library at the Cameo Café and lots of bookcrossers have kindly donated books to this good cause. For more information please see nwdementiasupportgroup.org.uk
